Clinton bookstore moving with help from volunteers

A longtime book store in Hunterdon County moved today, and most of the town came down to lend a hand.

Dozens of volunteers lined Main Street to help the Clinton Book Shop pack its boxes. After 32 years at its location on Main Street, the store will move to a less expensive storefront a block away.

"They love their book shop," said the store's owner Harvey Finkel of the volunteers. "They want us to survive and they just want to help."

Finkel has owned the store for seven years and will move it to 12 East Main St. He expects the new store to open Tuesday.
