Police officers ride to remember the fallen
Hundreds of cyclists stopped in Edison today on their tribute ride to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C.
The Police Unity Tour originated in 1997 by Florham Park Police Officer Patrick P. Montuore, according the group's website.
Police Unity Tour organizer James Lisi tells News 12 New Jersey, "The sole purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to keep the awareness alive for those officers that have died in the line of duty."
Hundreds of riders from across the country are taking part in the tribute. The group is scheduled to arrive in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday.
