FBI informant Dwek claims Long Branch mayor is corrupt

Recent court testimony by FBI informant Solomon Dwek may potentially determine who wins tomorrow's race for Long Branch mayor.

Dwek said last week in testimony during Assemblyman Daniel Van Pelt's corruption trial that he bribed Long Branch Mayor Adam Schneider.

Schneider tells News 12 New Jersey that his opponent, Brian Unger is using the testimony to convict him with the public. The mayor says he was never interviewed by the FBI and never charged or convicted of a crime. Unger says the public has the right to know about the allegations before they cast their ballots.

Schneider says he wants the U.S. Attorney's Office to investigate how the testimony was released so quickly.
