Jurors hear from weapons experts in NJ triple slay

(AP) - Jurors are hearing testimony from weaponsexperts that four victims in a 2007 shooting in a New Jerseyschoolyard were shot with the same gun.

Rodolfo Godinez is the first of six defendants tocome to trial in the shooting of the four college-bound friends.One survived.

Jurors on Tuesday heard from two detectives from the SuffolkCounty, N.Y., police department who testified about finding a .357Magnum handgun during a search of a home in Bay Shore, Long Island,in March 2008.

Weapons and ballistics experts from the Newark Police Departmentand the Suffolk County crime lab say tests showed bullets andfragments recovered from the Newark crime scene and the victimswere fired from the same gun.

They have not linked the weapon to Godinez.
