FBI searches NJ locations in connection to Times Square plot

FBI agents today searched several locations in the Northeast, including two in New Jersey, in connection with the failed Times Square car bomb.

Agents conducted searches at locations in Camden and Cherry Hill in Camden County. According to authorities, the raids were prompted by evidence that was gathered in Times Square.

News 12 New Jersey spoke to the brother of a man whose home was raided and claims it is a case of mistaken identity.

A law enforcement official told the Associated Press that two men were taken into custody following raids in two towns outside of Boston. The official says the men "have a direct connection" to Times Square car bomb suspect Faisal Shahzad.

Raids were also conducted at homes in Suffolk County on Long Island. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation was ongoing.
