Landlord at Rowan Towers to require background checks

Rowan Towers is reportedly putting new safety rules into place after a 7-year-old girl was allegedly raped there by a group of men in March.

The new safety rules will include requiring passes for overnight guests and requiring anyone over 16 years old to have an ID to get into the building. Tenants with past criminal records may also be evicted.

Some Trenton residents say the rules are unfair to tenants who aren't causing problems, but have a criminal record from years ago. They say people deserve a second chance.
