FEMA adds Ocean County to disaster relief list

Federal Emergency Management Agency workers are going door to door in Ocean County to tell residents they are now eligible for federal disaster aid.

FEMA's new disaster assistance center in Brick Township opened on Friday. Workers were accepting applications and taking questions about federal financial aid for those with property damage.

FEMA is also helping those who may have already paid to clean up, but still have big bills from the storm. FEMA has also announced that anyone who may have been denied assistance before the new counties were added can now reapply.

The deadline to apply for aid is June 1.
