Cat burglar on the prowl in Wyckoff

Wyckoff police say they are searching for whoever is responsible for three burglaries in one night this week.

Authorities say the burglar has been breaking into homes in the quiet community while families are asleep. Police say the burglar enters the homes through unlocked windows and doors. In one case, cops say the burglar entered through an unlocked window and stole cash from a wallet and purse.

Police say the burglar also struck a home in Franklin Lakes. Law enforcement officials say they are checking to see if the break-ins in Bergen County are related to a string of cat burglaries that took place this month in Clifton and Passaic.
