Teen, man injured in Jersey City shooting

A 13-year-old was with his family outside shooting off fireworks when he was shot late last night.

A 23-year-old was also hit by the gunfire. Police tell News 12 New Jersey that the 23-year-old is not a member of the family but is likely the intended target.

Police say the shooter was walking by when he opened fire.

The shooting took place in front of a firehouse, and firefighters were the first to respond to the scene.

No information has been made available on the conditions of the victims.
