Plumstead Twp. parents will have to pay for full-day kindergarten

As of September, parents in Plumstead Township will be forced to pay if they want their children to attend a full day of kindergarten. Full-day kindergarten is currently free in the town, but as of September, only half-day kindergarten will be free. Parents who still want their children to attend an entire day will be forced to pay $2,750. Families living less than two miles from the school will also lose their bus service in September. Those living more than two miles can still receive bus service for $450 per student, with a $900 cap per family.
