NFL owners to decide on location of 2014 Super Bowl

Owners of the 32 National Football League will meet in Texas today to decide who will host the 2014 Super Bowl.

The bid is widely expected to go to the new $1.6 billion Meadowlands stadium that will become home to the Jets and Giants this season, although Miami and Tampa, Fla., also are bidding.

The new Meadowlands stadium would need to get 17 votes to secure the bid.

If selected, Super Bowl 48 would mark the first time the NFL's championship game would be played in a cold-weather location without a dome.
