90-degree temperatures hit New Jersey
Garden State residents tried to beat the heat today as temperatures hit 90 degrees in the state. News 12 New Jersey visited South Orange, where residents were packed inside a Cold Stone Creamery cooling off with cold treats. One customer said that he had to make the visit after baseball practice.
Some Newark residents said they weren't expecting the heat, but were excited that it had arrived. One person feeding geese at a pond noticed that they were even trying to keep cool, sticking to the shady areas of the park.
