Wildwood again named best beach in NJ

The top 10 beaches in New Jersey were announced earlier today at Seagull's Next in Sandy Hook.

In first place was Wildwood. The Wildwood entry included Wildwood, as well as its sister towns, Wildwood Crest and North Wildwood. Second place went to Ocean City and Long Beach Island came in third. Asbury Park was in fourth place.

Two-thirds of the selection was based on online votes. More than 60,000 people cast their votes on the web. Scientists with the New Jersey Marine Sciences Consortium also judged beaches on width, wave height, and health of its dunes.
