Authorities search for car in Union City murder case

The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office has released surveillance photos of a car believed to have been involved in the murders of two victims from Union City.

On April 5, the partially decomposed bodies of Maria Angel Torres, 48, and Lazaro Calero, 49, both of Fourth Street in Union City, were found dumped in bags near the intersections of Cranford and Essex avenues in Linden, according to officials.

The Hudson County prosecutor, Edward DeFazio, said he believes the driver of the grey or silver 2000 to 2002 Saturn L-series sedan was involved with the disposal of the remains of the two victims.

Police urge anyone who may recognize the vehicle to contact investigators at the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
