Vets blast post office's cancellation of Memorial Day service

Veterans are criticizing the decision by Paterson's main post office to cancel a Memorial Day service this year due to costs. For the past 30 years, the post office has paid tribute to the veterans who work there and residents that have served. Organizers and veterans Tony Vancheri and Samuel Bosque say they have organized the event for years. Veterans say they are especially upset since they found out about the cancellation at the last minute. They say if they were asked, they would have footed the bill for the event.

The post office will hold a special moment of silence to honor the fallen on Flag Day, something the vets didn't get on Memorial Day.
