Police: Baby rushed to hospital after being left in 119-degree car

A 9-month-old baby from Lakewood was rushed to the hospital today after being left in what police say was a 119-degree car for more than an hour.

Lakewood's police chief says the father, Pinchus Blachorsky, forgot he left his son in the car. According to police, Blachorsky was supposed to drop his son off this morning at the day care where his wife works. Cops say when she called to find out where the child was, the father ran out and found his son was unconscious.Several years ago, a baby died when another member of the Hasidic community in Lakewood left his baby in the back of a car for five hours.

The father has been charged with criminal child neglect.
