NJ activist: Census workers lying on timesheets

Political activist James O'Keefe says he posed as a U.S. Census Bureau worker in Bergen County in April to uncover theft and waste by workers there.

O'Keefe, who is known for going undercover as a pimp and videotaping ACORN workers helping him avoid paying taxes, also shot video while posing as a census worker. In the video, there are blatant examples of theft by workers lying on their timesheets and stealing from the government, O'Keefe says.

O'Keefe says he was paid for more hours than he actually worked, and he took longer lunch breaks than he reported. He says when he brought the discrepancy to payroll's attention, workers there told him not to be concerned.

O'Keefe's critics say his work is deceptive, but he is unapologetic about his undercover jobs.
