Jersey City cancels July 4th fireworks

One of New Jersey's largest and most well-known Fourth of July celebrations has been canceled for this year.

The Hudson County town blames the economy for having to cancel its Liberty State Park fireworks display and concert. Fireworks have been a tradition in Jersey City for 30 years.

New York City says that the Macy's fireworks display will be on the Hudson River this year, but Jersey City residents say it's just not the same.

So far, no other cities have canceled their Fourth of July shows.
