Waretown boy gets 4 days in juvenile jail for BB gun threat

A Waretown teen was sentenced to four days in juvenile jail and one month of house arrest for threatening a friend with a BB gun. Officials say the 13-year-old boy cornered a 12-year-old friend near a guard rail on Holly Drive in Waretown. Police say the gun was inoperable, but looked like a real semi-automatic pistol gun. Ocean Township police say the victim did not know the gun was broken and that the teen immediately revealed it was a prank when he saw how frightened his friend was.
