Dutch man sent to Peru to face murder charges

(AP) - Dutch murder suspect Joran van der Sloot is onhis way to Peru, where authorities are likely to charge him withthe killing of a 21-year-old woman from the capital of Lima.

Chilean police say van der Sloot has proclaimed his innocence inSunday's slaying of Stephany Flores in a Lima hotel room.

The 22-year-old van der Sloot also remains the prime suspect inthe 2005 disappearance of Alabama teen Natalie Holloway on theDutch Caribbean island of Aruba.

Van der Sloot was handcuffed and placed aboard a police Cessna310 in the Chilean capital of Santiago on Friday morning. He isexpected to be handed over to Peruvian authorities Fridayafternoon.

Chilean police captured van der Sloot on Thursday as he washeaded to the country's Pacific coast.
