Bee swarm closes road in Hackensack

(AP) - Police had to close an intersection inNew Jersey after a swarm of bees created a cloud of confusion.

A Hackensack police officer spotted the swarm at the corner ofMain and Anderson streets Sunday.

Beekeeper Randy Zeberl says he lured between 8,000 and 10,000bees into a box with a piece of old honeycomb in about 30 minutes.

Zeberl believes between 10,000 and 15,000 bees were swarming inthe area. The beekeeper says it usually occurs earlier in springwhen the colony gets crowded and some of the bees follow the oldqueen to find a new home.
