5-alarm fire breaks out in Union City

Firefighters responded to a five-alarm blaze in Union City today.

Dozens of firefighters were needed to contain the fire, including firefighters from Jersey City and Hoboken. The fire started in a two-story row home in the 1900 block of Palisades Avenue and caused damage to three other buildings.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.

No injuries were reported.
