Linden councilman out after Kane in Your Corner probe
The Linden councilman who was exposed by Kane in Your Corner for trying to bribe his opponent lost his seat in Tuesday's primary.
Last month, Kane in Your Corner investigated an offer that Councilman Gene Davis made to his opponent. No criminal charges have been filed, but Davis is out of a job. The councilman told his opponent Rhashonna Cosby-Hurling that if she agreed to drop out of the race against him, he'd use his influence to makes sure she got appointed to a council seat anyway.
Davis told Kane in Your Corner that he didn't intend for his offer to be taken seriously and that he had had a few drinks when he made his offer to Cosby-Hurling.
Councilman Davis was defeated by Cosby-Hurling in Tuesday's primary.
