Film, TV industry makes case for N.J. tax credit

The film and television industry made a pitch Wednesday to save New Jersey's 20 percent tax credit, an incentive to bring filmmaking to New Jersey.

Brian O'Leary of NBC, as well as actor Tamara Tunie, of "Law and Order: SVU, " were on hand to discuss the benefits of shooting films and television shows in the Garden State.

The hearing was held on the former set of the medical show "Mercy," and chaired by tax credit supporter Democratic state Sen. Paul Sarlo.
