3 NJ teens set to compete in soap box derby race

Three Garden State teens are set to compete in the 10th Annual New Brunswick Soap Box Derby Race.

Maegan Cerqueira, 14, Nick "Snoop Dog" Landi, 13, and Vincent Fresco, 12, stopped by the News 12 New Jersey studios to show off their cars and talk about the event.

The New Jersey Soap Box Derby Director, Mike Blackwell, says more than 40 kids will race in this year's event.

The race will be held on June 12 at Johnson and Johnson's Headquarters located at 501 George Street in New Brunswick.

Winners of the race will qualify to attend the All-American Soap Box Derby Championship in Akron, Ohio.
