NJ soccer fans get set for World Cup

Garden State soccer fans are set for the first World Cup ever held in Africa.

The 2010 FIFA World Cup kicked off before a massive crowd in Johannesburg, South Africa today. The opening game pitted the home nation, South Africa, against Mexico.

In the Garden State, business owners see the monthlong tournament as a chance to spur some business.

James O'Donnell, of O'Donnell's Pub in Harrison, says he opened early just for the first match.

Many other businesses will have their TVs tuned to the matches all weekend.

Tomorrow, the United States faces off in its first match against England.

Fans can watch the game live on the video boards inside the new Red Bull Arena in Harrison.
