Bill proposed to get rid of Teterboro
A bill has been proposed to dissolve the borough of Teterboro and break the property into pieces that would be absorbed by nearby towns.
Though the town is home to an airport and businesses, it only has 38 residents.
Charles Klatskin, who owns a real estate company in Teterboro, says that by dissolving Teterboro, his business would be forced out. He fears people would be afraid to renew their leases if the town is redistributed.
The exact maps of how Teterboro would be broken up have not been released.Assemblywoman Connie Wagner says maps will be revealed Monday when the bill goes before the state legislature.
