Trenton voters to decide on mayor, city council

Freeholder Tony Mack and Councilman Manny Segura will face off in Trenton's mayoral runoff election today.

Mack and Segura seek to become the successor to Mayor Douglas Palmer, who is leaving office after serving for 20 years.

City voters will also decide on six council members, and whether Trenton may sell city-owned water pipes and storage towers in Ewing, Hamilton, Hopewell and Lawrence Townships.

In the mayoral and council races, voters will decide between the top two vote-getters in the May 11 election. Six candidates made the runoff in the at-large council race, three of whom will be elected.

Polls will be open between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. today.
