William Paterson University holds job fair
William Paterson University held a job fair today to help unemployed workers try to find new jobs.
Many of the job seekers attending the event said they hoped it would lead to them launching new careers. Others said the job fair helps them get experience with working on resumes and preparing for interviews. Jim Horvath, who was at the job fair with North Jersey Federal Credit Union, says confidence, proper attire and making a good first impression are all things he looks for in a possible employee. The university also holds classes to help job seekers be able to land employment. Arnold Mazurek, who used to work in the banking industry, is enrolled in several of the classes, including medical billing and coding.
