NYC car bomb suspect pleads guilty

(AP) - A Pakistan-born U.S. citizen has pleaded guilty in federal court to a charge accusing him of plotting the failedTimes Square car bombing.

Faisal Shahzad entered the plea to thefirst of 10 charges in an indictment, but said he plans to pleadguilty to all of them.

He told the judge he wanted to "plead guilty and 100 timesmore." He also warned that unless the U.S. leaves Muslim lands,"We will be attacking U.S."

Entering pleas one-by-one, he began by pleading guilty toattempted use of weapons of mass destruction.

Shahzad is accused in a plot that fizzled when agasoline-and-propane bomb failed to ignite in an SUV parked near aBroadway theater May 1. The Bridgeport, Conn., resident wasarrested two days later.
