More than 2M cribs recalled amid safety concerns

(AP) - More than 2 million cribs are being recalledfrom seven companies amid concerns that babies can suffocate, become trapped or fall from the cribs.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says most of the cribsare drop-sides, which have a side rail that moves up and down soparents can lift children from them more easily. That movable sidecan malfunction or detach from the crib and create a dangerous gapwhere babies' heads can become trapped.

The companies involved in the recall are Evenflo, DeltaEnterprises Corp., Child Craft, Jardine Enterprises, LaJobi,Million Dollar Baby and Simmons Juvenile Products Inc.

There are reports of at least 16 infants becoming trapped in thecribs.
