Defense rests in child stalking retrial
The defense rested today in the retrial for a New Jersey man accused of stalking and trying to lure children into his van. Prosecutors claim 51-year-old Brian Warner, formerly of Little Egg Harbor, tried to lure three children into his soundproof van in a Tuckertown parking lot in 2004. Officials say Warner had candy, condoms and a knife in the van. Speaking exclusively to News 12 New Jersey, Warner says he was in the parking lot because he was going to the WaWa there for coffee and to eat. He says he wasn't stalking the children, and only asked if they were hurt because he suspected they were victims of abuse. Warner's previous trial ended in a hung jury. Related:
