String of burglaries hits Linden

The second string of burglaries has hit the Sunnyside neighborhood of Linden in just as many months.

Nine vehicles were robbed on Wednesday night, authorities say. According to police, GPS units were the most sought-after item. One of the families that was targeted says the thieves took their loose change, but didn't touch their iPod connector.

The family says the doors to one of their cars were left unlocked.

Back in April, police say a dozen GPS units were taken from the same neighborhood. That time, a dozen cars were burglarized and two vehicles were stolen.

Police urge residents to lock their doors and remove valuables from their cars. Police are also advising that residents write down the serial numbers of electronics, in case they are stolen.
