Essex County prosecutor: Man sexually assaulted, killed baby girl

Authorities are searching for a man who they say sexually assaulted and killed a 7-month-old girl left in his care in Newark. The Essex County Prosecutor's Office says Daylasia Rhymer was left with her mother's boyfriend, 24-year old Oquan Blake, last Saturday. Officials say that when the mother returned, her daughter had rectal and vaginal bleeding. The baby was taken to the hospital and died several days later. An autopsy says the baby had a fractured skull and other injuries, as well as evidence of being sexually assaulted. According to the prosecutor, Blake, who is also known as Sammad Blake, told the mother he was not going to accept blame for what happened to the child and took off. Authorities say Blake is considered dangerous. Anyone with information about him is asked to call the Essex County Prosecutor's Office or 911.
