Tens of thousands gather for the Macy's Fourth of July fireworks

Tens of thousands of New Jersey residents turned up for the Macy's Fourth of July fireworks display Sunday evening.

Many residents began to gather along the Hudson River hours before the show was set to begin to get a prime viewing spot.

This is the second year that Macy's elected to use the Hudson River as its launching pad.
