Remains of child from Newark found in Colo.

A Newark woman tells News 12 New Jersey that her daughter's remains were discovered in Colorado.

Jopetia Garretson says the remains were found under the home of her ex-boyfriend, who had custody of her daughter Genesis. A contractor installing a sump pump found Genesis' body beneath the house inside a bag buried in the basement, Garretson says.

Garretson's ex-boyfriend, Hanif Sims, and his wife, Monique Lynch, say they had left the house for ten minutes and returned to find Genesis unconscious and blue. They say they tried to give Genesis mouth-to-mouth, to no use

Genesis' body was discovered 16 months later.

Lynch and Sims are due in court next week.
