PATH security officials assure commuters trains are safe

After the recent terror alert level increase, many New Jersey commuters who travel into Manhattan are taking the threats seriously. However, PATH security officials want to assure passengers that trains are safe.

One concern of some commuters is that the trains run under water and there would be no escape if a gas attack or an explosion occurred. Other daily PATH riders are confident state and federal authorities are doing all they can to keep the trains safe.

PATH's head of security says they have increased the security since 9/11. He says the recent terror alerts have not changed PATH.
