Health clinic in Long Branch treats patients who cannot afford private doctors

The Monmouth Family Health Center in Long Branch is one of 18 centers in New Jersey serving low income and underprivileged patients.

The center treats more than 25,000 patients a year. The services include general medicine, pediatrics, gynecology and more. Center director Marta Silverberg says it is not a free clinic. According to Silverberg, the center charges patients based on their ability to pay.
