Three golfers in good condition after lightning strikes nearby tree in Ringoes

Three golfers are in good condition after being knocked down when lightning struck a nearby tree at a golf course in Ringoes Wednesday.

According to witnesses, lightning hit a tree close to where the victims were walking at the Heron Glen Golf Course, located off Route 202. They say Charles and Marilyn Higgins from Piscataway and Susan Holloy from Princeton were thrown from their feet and hit with debris and branches.

The victims were treated at Fuld Hospital in Trenton.
