Police search for alleged drug dealer involved in Bayonne shooting

Bayonne police say two of their officers were almost killed in a wild car chase Wednesday night. According to police, 25-year-old Richardson and his partner are drug dealers that were under surveillance. When Richardson noticed an unmarked police car, he took off and collided with two police cars. Authorities say the officers got out of the car and were forced to open fire.According to police the two drug dealers took off on Pamrapo Avenue just over the Bayonne line in Jersey City. The men turned onto Kennedy Boulevard and abandoned their car on Pearsall Avenue where the driver was caught. Police continue to search for the passenger.
