Officials hope proposed ordinance will curb noise in Seaside Heights

Town officials want to cut noise levels in Seaside Heights, but aren't quite sure how to do it. A plan to curb noise levels was drafted by the Seaside Heights town administrators and presented to Borough Council after complaints by some residents and visitors. The newly proposed noise ordinance got a mixed reaction from visitors and year-round residents.The Breakwater Beach Amusement Park is one of the reasons why town officials want to put the whole matter on hold. While noise levels at the park can get pretty high it is also a big tourist draw.The proposed ordinance that takes into account the noise along the waterfront will be shown to the council in early September.
