New Brunswick police searching for man who raped a Rutgers grad student

Police in New Brunswick are searching for a man they say raped a Rutgers graduate student at her off-campus apartment Wednesday night.

The 24-year-old student says she was home alone at her TOV Manor apartment when a man with a knife entered through a screen door and raped her.

Rutgers police have now stepped up security around the campus and are handing out flyers with security tips to students. Sex assaults near Rutgers last summer, including attacks on three students, caused authorities to step up patrols in the area.
