North Bergen police searching for two men wanted for slashing man with box cutters
Police are asking people in North Bergen to look out for two men they say are extremely dangerous.
Twenty-seven-year-old Renzo Castello of West New York and 22-year-old Christian Atoche of Union City are wanted for slashing a man with box cutters. Police say Castello and Atoche are the last in a group of alleged Latin Kings gang members charged in an attack on a fellow member.
According to police the attack happened in August and four gang members, including the leader of the Latin Kings in Hudson County, have been arrested. They say the attack stemmed from a personal dispute between the man stabbed and the gang leader.
North Bergen police and the state police gang task force are investigating the attack. They say there are approximately 1,000 Latin Kings in New Jersey, with Hudson County being one of the gangs strongholds. Officials say the gang members are known for crimes including stealing cars, selling drugs, kidnapping and extortion.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the North Bergen police at (201) 392-2100.
