Half-size Vietnam Veterans Memorial replica comes to Jefferson Township

Many residents, who will not have a chance to see the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. can pay their respects to the fallen men and women in Jefferson Township.

The half-size memorial replica, known as The Moving Wall, consists of 70 aluminum panels inscribed with the names of more than 5,800 U.S. servicemen and women who lost their lives in the Vietnam War.

The wall will be open to the public for approximately a week before the wall is taken down. There will be an opening ceremony Thursday at 7 p.m. Visitors are welcome to stop by Lakeside Park off Route 15 South to view the wall at anytime.
