Vice presidential candidate John Edwards attends rally, fundraiser in New Jersey

Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards attended a rally in Newark Tuesday. He also attended a fundraiser in East Brunswick Tuesday evening.

Edwards was campaigning in New Jersey for the first time and many residents came out to hear what he had to say. One rally participant says he thinks the Democrats will carry the state. However, recent polls show President Bush and Senator John Kerry are neck and neck.

New Jersey voters say the issues each candidate discusses will determine who wins in November. Some important issues for voters are economics, the war on terrorism, unemployment and health care.
