No injuries reported after tornado touches down in South Jersey

A tornado spawned by the remnants of Hurricane Jeanne cut a two-mile swath through the township of Cherry Hill, damaging 11 buildings and several cars in a parking lot.

Witnesses said they saw a funnel cloud, and the National WeatherService in Mount Holly confirmed Tuesday night that a tornado withwinds of 70 miles per hour had touched down.

Cherry Hill officials said a church, a drugstore and a bank were among the buildings damaged. No homes were damaged, and no injuries were reported.
