Vernon property owner forces children to stand in the street at a bus stop

Some parents in Vernon Township claim a neighbor is putting their childrens lives at risk at a local bus stop.

The bus stop is located on the corner of Route 638 and Old Homestead Drive. Parents say the owner of the property placed boulders and private property signs where the children used to stand. They say their children are now forced to stand in the roadway.

The owner of the property says she put the rocks out to stop parents from parking there. She claims there would be 20-25 cars parked in the area and she did not want to be held accountable if someone got hit.

Parents say they just want the rocks removed. The property owner says she would like to see the bus stop moved to a different location. The schools superintendent is considering it.
