Mercer County high school seniors take part in mock Election Day

Students at Hightstown High School prepared to become part of history Friday, as they participated in a mock election designed to familiarize themselves with the voting process - an exercise that seniors take part in every four years.

As many of them prepare to make their voices heard this coming November, students practiced procedure in voting booths. Some students say the mock election eases the fear they will have when their votes in the booth really count on Election Day.

With the emphasis on voting so strong this year as celebrities and teachers alike get the word out to students, as well as paying attention to the presidential debates over the next few weeks, the seniors at Hightstown High are more than prepared for November 2.
