Construction in Hoboken has some Jersey City residents worried

Hoboken residents say the construction of a new building is causing traffic and parking headaches. Now, some Jersey City residents are worried a new building may cause problems for them, too.

A proposal to put up a high rise on Monroe Street has some Jersey City residents worried about their quality of life. They say the high rise would block their view of the Empire State Building and the rest of the New York City skyline.

Developers say the high rise will not block the view, but residents want assurance, saying they do not want to pay the price of another citys growth. The building site is zoned for industrial use, but the city zoning board will hear arguments Wednesday night on whether to re-designate it as residential.
