Hamilton Township has flu shot clinic, but not enough vaccine

Hamilton Township had a flu shot clinic for local seniors Wednesday, however, there was not enough of the vaccine to go around.

Seniors lined up early at the fire house at Mercer and Nottingham Way to receive their free flu shot, but only the first 900 were able to actually get one. Health officials say they ordered 5,500 but only received 900.

Health officials say if more vaccines are released they will have another clinic. They also urge residents who did not receive a flu shot to contact their family physician.

Township officials say those who want flu shots should pay attention to the media for announcements about the next clinic.
